Job Summary The Honors College is seeking Adjunct Honors Faculty Fellows to facilitate student achievement of course objectives and prepare honors students to matriculate through the Honors College curriculum.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Course Delivery and Instruction:
Provide face-to-face course delivery and instruction.
Documentation Management:
Prepare and submit syllabi, grades, and other required course documentation in a timely manner.
Student Communication:
Communicate course requirements and expectations to students.
Meeting and Event Participation:
Attend faculty fellow meetings and additional events associated with the class. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A Master's degree (or 18 graduate credit hours) in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level. Successful completion of a background check. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Possesses deep knowledge in their field and applies effective teaching methods for high-achieving students. Skilled in creating and delivering engaging, challenging course content and assessments. Communicates clearly with students and colleagues, fostering a supportive learning environment. Competent in using learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and other educational technologies. Maintains high professional standards and adapts teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs. Preferred Qualifications A Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline. Prior experience with course delivery and instruction, particularly with high-achieving students. Proficiency with the Canvas learning management platform.
