Adjunct Instructor, Applied Sciences - WVU Potomac State College (Keyser) West Virginia University United States, West Virginia, Keyser 101 Fort Avenue (Show on map) Apr 19, 2026 Description West Virginia University's Potomac State College campus in Keyser, West Virginia, is seeking to develop a pool of qualified adjunct instructors to fill part-time teaching opportunities as they become available. The college invites applications for part-time adjunct positions to teach courses in person and/or online in the Applied Sciences Division. Applied Science disciplines include Agriculture, Business (including Accounting and Economics), Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Forestry, and Wildlife. Qualifications A minimum of a master's degree in the field listed above from a regionally accredited college or university is required by time of appointment OR a master's degree in a related field and 18 credit hours and/or work experience in the field. Previous college teaching experience is valued. Successful candidates should demonstrate: A student-centered commitment to high academic standards A commitment to collegiality with peers and building a welcoming community; An understanding and commitment to utilizing innovative teaching methodologies and systems which actively engage students in the learning process; An understanding and commitment to working with faculty, staff, and students from diverse cultures and backgrounds Application Requirements Letter of interest Curriculum vitae Unofficial college transcript(s) Contact information for three professional references Background check required for selected candidate Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per course basis.
