Our staff and Marine Advisory Program agents and specialists who live and work in Alaska's coastal communities carry out this mission through research, education, and outreach. Ability to work under general direction. Duties require considerable knowledge and skills such as computer, research, or translation skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Support day-to-day operations of the office, assist with bookstore functions, and maintain accurate records through database management systems. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive work ethic and good communication skills. Typically requires some previous experience, although specific requirements vary by position. Some college or comparable education may substitute for experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus. This is a part-time, student assistant position, new hires will be placed on the UA student salary schedule , based on education and experience.
