Job Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is seeking to hire two (2) motivated student assistants to assist with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal applications. This role is ideal for a student who is building foundational programming skills and is eager to gain hands-on experience working in a real-world development environment. You will work alongside experienced developers, contribute to active projects, and learn modern software engineering practices. Position is needed during Summer Break. June 2026 to August 2026 and will be on a 40 hours a week schedule. student assistants are considered part-time employees; however, during summer break, students may work up to 40 hours per week. This position will report to 1010 Riverside Pkwy, West Sacramento, CA 95605.
