Position Summary:
The position will serve as a teaching assistant for one section of
BIOL 3150
Genetics Lab to be held at the Coeur d'Alene Harbor Center during the Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities include working with Moscow-based instructor and graduate teaching assistants to offer consistent lab content delivery to students in Coeur d'Alene; maintaining wild-type and mutant lines of Drosophila and equipment and supplies needed for student-led genetic experiments; overseeing safe work practices; mentoring student projects and answering questions; grading student lab reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field Prior coursework in
Genetics Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Drosophila in education or research environment Experience teaching undergraduate laboratory courses Previous student in University of Idaho
