Part Time - Ivy Arts for Kids Assistant Ivy Tech Community College - 4.0 Bloomington, IN Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Employee assistance program Retirement plan Qualifications Parent communication Working with students Working with youth Full Job Description Ivy Tech - Bloomington is looking for an individual to join their team as a part-time Ivy Arts for Kids Assistant to support youth arts camps, assist instructors with classroom activities, and help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students in grades 1-5. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is dependable and professional, and has an interest in education, arts programming, or youth development. The role may also include opportunities to assist with social media content and camp marketing efforts. Under the direction of the Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) Staff and Faculty, this position will assist with camp activities for Ivy Arts for Kids camps and help provide a safe, seamless experience for campers.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
1. Assistant will help our Ivy Arts for Kids camps (Grades 1-5) operate within the Protection of Minors policy guidelines and create a positive learning environment for students. 2. Ivy Arts for Kids Assistant will help with classroom management during sign-in/sign-out processes before and after camp, offering assistance as needed with instruction during camp, and helping instructors with classroom prep/clean-up. 3. Assistant may also have opportunities for content creation to contribute to camp marketing efforts for the Center for Lifelong Learning's social media feeds.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. 18 years or older 2. Comfortable working with students Ages 5-11 3. Able to communicate well with parents and other adults 4. Timely and professional 5.
