Job Description
The Savannah R-3 School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Debate Sponsor to support the district's Debate program. The Assistant Sponsor will work collaboratively with the Head Debate Sponsor to provide students with opportunities to develop communication, research, critical-thinking, and public-speaking skills. This opening is for the 2026-27 school year. Essential Responsibilities Assist with planning and supervising Debate practices, meetings, and activities. Support students in developing debate, research, argumentation, and public-speaking skills. Assist with preparation for competitions and tournaments. Help supervise students during debate events and school-sponsored activities. Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, professionalism, and student participation. Assist with maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive team environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Sponsor or administration.
