The OSU Center for Contemplative Practice. The Collaborative Assistants will leverage relevant interests and skills to provide administrative, housekeeping, creative, customer service, and operations support for the center and a range of Contemplative Studies programs and activities. Transferable Skill Development OSU ismitted to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees. Thepetencies students develop while working at OSU are defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) as the essential skills employers seek in their hires. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Communication, Critical Thinking, Professionalism Position Duties 40%
Site Maintenance:
Plant care Sweep, vaccuum, and mop floors Launder small towels Clean andanize props Provide housekeeping for one single-use bathroom Remove trash and recycling Maintain a clean space and a weing and bright aesthetic 20%
Customer Service and Administrative Tasks:
Greet clients Answer client questions about program and center activities Set a tone for a weing, friendly, supportive contemplative practice environment Enter class rosters into Momence software;municate payment anomalies to staff Tag and file liability waivers 20%
Marketing:
Organize, monitor and write on our social media channels (, ) Put up posters on campus and in Corvallis 10%
Support and Additional Projects:
Assist with additional projects and tasks as needed, relevant to your interests or skill set. This may include: program development graphic design supporting specific events and initiative activities, tabling at events, and supporting staff teachers, CSI coordinator, or director with tasks. 10%
Accountability:
Attend meetings as requested and maintain regularmunication with supervisor for progress updates Open and close building for scheduled daily hours of operation by locking and unlocking doors, arming/disarming building, turning on and off lights, and securing assets Maintain operating procedures for practice center Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found : hr.oregonstate.edu/student-employment-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requirements Must be academically enrolled in a high school,munity college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term• Graduate student officially admitted to

Additional Required Qualifications 1+ years academic and/or personal/practical background in contemplative studies or any contemplative practice or tradition 1+ years in a customer service, teaching, or administrative role Exceptionalmunication skills, especially standard written and spoken English Ability to work independently, without supervision, and collaboratively, including active exchange of feedback and ideas Exemplify discernment and sound decision making A demonstrablemitment to self-awareness, self-reflection,passionatemunication, and kindness Preferred (Special) Qualifications Specialization in one or more of the following: teaching yoga, meditation, or another contemplative practice: graphic design indoor plant care marketing, customer service information technology or other directly applicable, specialized skills. Working Conditions / Work Schedule Estimated 3-6 hours per week each for two collaborative assistants; could potentially range from 6-15 hours per week depending on student availability and center workload. Schedule is generally M-F during the 9am-6pm timeframe. Some weekends/evenings when events are occurring, as agreed upon on a caseby-case basis. The Contemplative Center is located at 648 SW 2nd Street in Corvallis - student will need to be able to get to/from the center regularly for workmitments.
