Our classroom serves children ages 1-6 in a carefully prepared, mixed-age environment rooted in authentic Montessori principles. We are looking for someone who values respectful relationships with children, enjoys collaborative work, and is committed to continued growth within Montessori pedagogy. This position is ideal for someone who is calm, dependable, adaptable, and able to balance initiative with observation. Responsibilities Support the flow and care of the classroom environment Observe children thoughtfully before stepping in Assist with transitions, meals, outdoor time, rest, and classroom maintenance Help maintain a peaceful, orderly, and respectful environment Model grace, courtesy, and care of the environment Collaborate closely with the Lead Guide and other staff Participate in ongoing reflection and professional growth Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Currently enrolled in the Central Background Registry Minimum of 2 years experience caring for multiple children under age 3 Patient, compassionate, and adaptable in responding to the needs of young children Ability to practice observation before intervention Interest in and commitment to Montessori philosophy and pedagogy Prior experience in a Montessori 3-6 classroom preferred Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth Bonus Qualification Montessori Teaching Certification or interest in becoming trained
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
