Growth opportunities On-the-job training Safe work environment Work-from-home days Kumon Math and Reading Center of Leander - Bar W is hiring a part-time Early Learner (EL) Assistant to work one-on-one and in small groups with our youngest students, ages 3-6. Schedule — please read before applying This role requires availability starting at 4:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays . Shifts run approximately 4:00-7:00 PM. Occasional Saturday availability is also required for training sessions — these are scheduled in advance and are not weekly. We cannot accommodate applicants who are unavailable at 4:00 PM on those weekdays. What you'll do Guide early learners through Kumon worksheets and tablet-based lessons, keeping them focused and on pace Grade student work accurately and return corrections the same session Support students with letter and number recognition, phonics, counting, and early writing skills Help students transition in and out of the classroom and assist with pickup Keep the EL area organized, stocked, and ready for the next class What we're looking for Patience and genuine enjoyment working with young children Reliability — students depend on the same familiar faces each class day Clear speaking voice and strong reading skills Attention to detail when grading High school students are welcome to apply; no prior teaching experience required — we train you Why work here Consistent schedule, a supportive team, and real teaching experience that looks excellent on a college or education-track application.
