Job Description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
National Park College Career Academy is seeking a full-time High School Medical Professions Instructor to join our team in Hot Springs, AR. The ideal candidate will facilitate skills development that will prepare students for the workplace and provide opportunities for them to experience a variety of health care professions. The salary for this position is $44,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach high school students' medical coursework. Create classroom and lab learning activities. Continuously evaluating the program for effectiveness. Participate in faculty meetings. Inform director and/or assistant director of issues, concerns, needs and successes. Effectively use LMS to communicate with students. Maintain safe classroom and shop/lab environment. Remain current on safety procedures and crisis plans. Provide daily attendance and periodic grade reports to Administration. Determine participation in career and technical student organizations. Create and update syllabus and program information. Participate in professional development and keep log of hours. Will perform other duties as assigned.
Required skills/abilities:
Must have knowledge of the subject matter being taught. Must have educational planning and teaching techniques. Ability to develop and teach students based on assessments and evaluations. Ability to teach secondary students. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to supervise students in both classroom and lab settings.
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a health care field and relevant professional experience in that field preferred. Bachelor's Degree with significant relevant professional experience will be considered. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting and standing. Extensive walking. Ability to lift 30 lbs at a time.
