Clinical Anatomist Adjunct Location Upland Job Type Adjunct Job Number 202500700 Area Provost Department Physician Assistant Opening Date 06/15/2026 Description Benefits Summary Position Summary Taylor University invites applications and nominations of distinctive candidates for an adjunct Clinical Anatomy professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Salary is consistent with the set adjunct graduate rate for PA Studies. Responsibilities include development and management of the Clinical Anatomy course for first-year physician assistant students, classroom and lab instruction, student advising and mentoring, and remediation as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities This position is primarily responsible to: Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University Support the University and PA program mission, vision, and goals Deliver high-quality instruction in gross anatomy, clinical anatomy, surface anatomy, and related foundational sciences Integrate anatomical content with clinical medicine, diagnostic reasoning, and patient-centered care Facilitate laboratory instruction, utilizing the Anatomage virtual cadavers, Complete Anatomy software, simulation, or other anatomical learning modalities as applicable Employ evidence-based instructional strategies that promote active learning and student engagement Ensure instructional delivery aligns with published course learning outcomes and program competencies Develop/maintain course syllabi and instructional objectives consistent with college and ARC-PA standards Develop and administer valid and reliable assessment measures that evaluate student achievement of course objectives Participate in formative and summative student evaluation processes Provide timely, constructive feedback to promote student learning and progression Participate in remediation efforts as directed by the course director or as outlined in program policies Maintain accurate assessment records consistent with institutional and program policies Provide academic support through office hours, review sessions, or other learner-centered engagement Promote professionalism, ethical conduct, and academic integrity Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment conducive to student success Typical Qualifications Master's degree or doctoral degree in anatomy, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, or closely related field Demonstrated expertise in human gross anatomy and clinically applied anatomical sciences Demonstrated ability to support graduate-level learners in mastery of foundational medical sciences Prior teaching experience in higher education or health professions education, preferred Supplemental Information Taylor University is committed to educating our future healthcare providers while encouraging them to live life to the full in Christ.
