Job Summary:

As an important member of the University of Colorado GI faculty, the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights/weekends call coverage. The gastroenterologist's primary practice site will be the University of Colorado Hospital, Anschutz Medical Campus, where they will provide outpatient and inpatient GI consultative and endoscopic services. The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer service skills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist including: GERD Dysphagia IBS/functional GI disorders Eosinophilic Esophagitis Abnormal liver function tests Pancreatitis Occult iron deficiency anemia GI motility disorders

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:

A medical degree from an accredited institution Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology Must have, or be eligible to obtain, an active State of Colorado medical license Must have an active DEA license on or before hire date Experience with Electronic Medical Records, such as Epic ACLS and BLS certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent communication skills to interface with learners, faculty, healthcare teams, administrators, community organizations and donors Candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community and work toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Assistant Professor:

$160,000-$180,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
