The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Professor of Clinical. As one of the largest and highest volume Interventional Radiology (IR) departments in the country and a premier academic institution in South Florida, we offer a full spectrum of IR clinical procedures, training and research while serving over 21,000 patients a year. We work with a wide range of specialists across campus - from Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary, Radiation Oncology, Urology as well as Orthopedics to provide excellent multidisciplinary care. The Associate Professor of Clinical - Interventional Radiology provides medical care to large array of patients by providing minimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Associate Professor of Clinical is focused on clinical care, research, and training of residents and fellows. As assigned by the Chairman, the faculty member can provide service at the following UM/ JMH locations: Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Lennar Foundation Medical Center, UHealth Doral, UHealth SoleMia, and at satellite centers in Broward County (Plantation and Deerfield Beach). In addition to these locations, the faculty member may see patients in the clinic at the Desai Sethi Medical Center.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention and contribute to the expansion of outpatient clinics for interventional procedures Supervise performance of technical personnel. Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients inIR clinic. Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging. Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested. Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice. Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging. Participate in teaching activities related to interventional radiology as required in: Residency/fellowship training programs Medical student education program Technological radiology educational programs Continuing medical education programs Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Medical Center committees and provide service to the same in other manners as requested. Participate in research activities as an investigator and mentor. CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent),
Certification and Licensing:
