The immediate need is for Fridays. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals through innovative simulation-based learning and clinical instruction. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise in nursing or medical education, and a passion for fostering student success. This paid position is perfect for individuals with a background in healthcare education, clinical practice, and simulation technology who are eager to make a positive impact on adult learners in a higher education setting. Duties Facilitate realistic simulation scenarios to enhance students' clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and patient care skills across various healthcare disciplines Provide hands-on instruction and supervision during clinical rotations in teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities Develop, review, and update simulation curricula and teaching materials aligned with current industry standards and educational objectives Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to track student progress, assessments, and documentation review Support students' development of care plans, documentation practices, and understanding of medical terminology within simulated environments Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development initiatives that integrate simulation technology into the broader nursing or medical programs Supervise students during clinical practice, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in acute care, ICU, pediatrics, primary care, senior care, and other settings Engage in research activities related to simulation effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in healthcare education Maintain detailed records of student performance, simulation outcomes, and compliance with accreditation standards Requirements Proven supervising experience in clinical or educational settings within healthcare or higher education institutions Strong familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms Prior teaching hospital experience or extensive clinical practice in acute care, ICU, pediatrics, or primary care environments Knowledge of nursing or medical terminology coupled with experience in patient care across diverse populations including adult and pediatric patients Demonstrated ability to develop curricula and incorporate learning technology into instructional design Experience with simulation equipment and software used for healthcare training purposes Background in research related to nursing education or healthcare simulation is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with a focus on working effectively with students from diverse backgrounds Ability to review documentation meticulously and ensure compliance with educational standards and hospital protocols Familiarity with nursing administration, nurse management practices, phlebotomy procedures, and hospital operations is advantageous Join us in shaping the future of healthcare by inspiring the next generation of professionals through innovative simulation-based education.
