This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of nursing and healthcare professionals through dynamic clinical instruction and mentorship. As a Clinical Instructor, you will provide hands-on guidance in clinical settings, facilitate learning experiences, and ensure students meet educational and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help foster a supportive environment where students can develop essential patient care skills and clinical competencies. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Deliver engaging instruction on patient care procedures, medical terminology, and clinical best practices using simulation methods and online learning platforms such as Blackboard or LMS (Learning Management System). Develop, review, and update curriculum content to align with accreditation standards, educational regulations, and evolving healthcare practices. Assess student performance through observation, documentation review, and feedback to ensure competency in clinical skills such as care planning, documentation, and patient management. Coordinate with hospital staff and faculty to facilitate seamless integration of classroom learning with real-world clinical experiences. Maintain compliance with educational regulations and hospital policies while ensuring a safe learning environment for all students. Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development initiatives, and ongoing professional development related to healthcare education and teaching simulation methods. Qualifications Proven supervising experience in clinical or educational settings within healthcare environments such as hospitals or nursing schools. Strong knowledge of LMS platforms like Blackboard or similar online instruction tools. Prior teaching hospital experience or working within a university setting is highly desirable. Extensive background in nursing or healthcare fields including patient care, acute care, ICU, primary care, pediatrics, or senior care. Familiarity with curriculum design, development, and implementation for adult learners in higher education or college faculty roles. Experience working with post-secondary students from diverse cultural backgrounds in an educational context. Knowledge of medical terminology, learning technology, teaching simulation methods, and healthcare compliance standards. Critical care experience along with skills in nursing administration or nurse management is advantageous. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts related to phlebotomy, hospital procedures, care plans, and pediatric care to students.
