Summary Palm Beach Atlantic University , in partnership with the national search firmScott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Program Director, Physician Associate Medicine.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, faith-based Physician Associate Medicine program dedicated to fostering skilled,adaptable, and compassionate physician associates who provide patient-centered and service-oriented care across diverse healthcareenvironments. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Program Director (PD), the Associate Program Director will play a keyleadership role in advancing the academic, administrative, and clinical operations of the program while supporting its continued growth,compliance with accreditation standards, and commitment to educational excellence. The successful candidate will join a collaborative andenriching environment that emphasizes immersive experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, dedicated faculty mentorship, andthe preparation of healthcare professionals equipped to positively impact individuals and communities through compassionate service andclinical excellence. In support of the university's mission and objectives, the Associate Program Director for PA Medicine isresponsible for supporting the leadership and operations of PA Medicine. This role assists the PD in the academic, administrative, andclinical aspects of the program, supports the continuous development and evaluation of the curriculum, and helps ensure compliance withaccreditation standards. The Associate Program Director will work closely with faculty, students, clinical preceptors, and administrativestaff to prepare physician associates in all aspects of healthcare practice. Administration Oversees processes ofcurriculum design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation for didactic course scheduling/planning, and clinical yearoperations. Assists in preparing PA Medicine's annual budget and oversees expenditures; responsible for fiscal management of theprogram. Participates in development of program mission statement review/revision, program competencies review/revision, and programgoals review/revision. Oversees program evaluations by developing evaluation methods for all didactic and clinical components of theprogram, continuous programmatic review, and analysis. Manages clinical site development by securing clinical sites with signedagreements and preceptors sufficient in number to meet the clinical practice needs of the maximum class size. Manages the completionof ARC-PA required documents and adherence to all ARC-PA policies and standards. Coordinates all accreditation site visits andaccreditation activities. Oversees implementation of all policies applicable to PA Medicine students published by Palm BeachAtlantic University and PA Medicine. Participates in new initiatives as assigned by the PD. Serves on committees asdetermined by the PD. Advocates for PA Medicine at the college, university, and community levels. Maintains a workingrelationship with the appropriate professional groups, which may include the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PhysicianAssistant/Associate (ARCPA), the Florida Department of Health Board of Medicine, the National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants (NCCPA), the American Academic of Physician Associates (AAPA), and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA). Teaching Provides student teaching and instruction. Provides academic counseling. Participates instudent performance evaluations. Participates in remedial instruction. Assures availability of remedialinstruction. Scholarship Participates in student and faculty research as it pertains to PA Medicine, PAs andHealth Sciences. Identifies sources for and participates in the preparation and implementation of grants and contracts supporting PAMedicine's activities. Qualifications Required Qualifications Master's degree in physicianassistant studies from an accredited institution, or equivalent. Hold or attain current or emeritus NCCPA certification as aphysician assistant. Eligibility for or hold licensure in the State of Florida by the Florida Department of Health Board ofMedicine. 3+ years of full-time academic experience as a physician assistant in a higher education faculty position or equivalentteaching experience. Must have a record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with an appointment to the rank of associateprofessor or higher. Preferred Qualifications PhD, DMSc, or another relevant doctorate. Previousor current experience as a clinically practicing physician assistant. PA program administrative experience. Knowledge of orparticipation in the ARC-PA accreditation process. A $10,000 signing bonus will be awarded to an external candidate hiredinto this position; current university employees are not eligible for the signing bonus.
