ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time instructors in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Part-time instructors are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time teaching assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, part-time faculty in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program are responsible for teaching the objectives for any course assigned, the assessment of student learning, and reporting of student progress as required by the college.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and licensed/eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) DMS certified. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare professional field, required. Clinical practice in sonography for a minimum of 5 years of experience. Knowledge of and ability to use computers, applicable software, and the Internet are required. Shall meet the minimum standards of instruction established by the Administration and the Board of Trustees for any assigned courses.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Salary varies based on educational level and number of units taught. Starting rates for the current Academic Year can be viewed on SWIC's Employment page .

Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses are offered at the SWIC Belleville Campus
