A Health Sciences Professor teaches foundational health science ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, lab experience, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the health science curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.
Lecturer Salary The salary for this position is $1,000 per credit hour. Benefits This position is ineligible for health, dental, and life insurance benefits through Chicago State University.

The position requires expertise in at least one area of public health, such as epidemiology, health policy and management, biostatistics, environmental health, and social and behavioral sciences. The adjunct faculty member will adhere to all university and academic policies and assigned duties, contribute to the development of course content, assess student learning, participate in program activities, provide student support, attend trainings, maintain accurate records of student's academic progress, be available via phone, email, zoom, LMS and during office hours, and support the overall mission, vision and values of the public health program. Required Education Master's degree in public health or a related field, MPH, PhD preferred.
