Full-Time Posting Detail Information Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics , University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Kaleida Health's Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) is actively recruiting for a General or Subspecialty trained Pediatrician (i.e., Critical Care, Hospitalist Medicine) who has interest and experience in Child Abuse Pediatrics. It is anticipated that approximately 50% of the candidate's time would be spent with Child Abuse and 50% of their time spent in either General Pediatrics or their subspecialty. This Physician will join the Division of General Pediatrics, and as applicable their subspecialty division, and be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on advocacy and neglect. The Child Abuse Physician will provide medical evaluations of suspected child abuse victims at the Child Advocacy Center Buffalo (CAC) as well as child abuse consultations at GCH at Buffalo. Job duties include multidisciplinary team collaboration with the child abuse team at the CAC, the pediatric trauma team at GCH, and community agencies working to manage and prevent child abuse and neglect, and provide children and families with the support they need. Care is provided in conjunction with academic teaching duties for medical students and residents from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment with the University commensurate to rank and experience.
