A Health Sciences Professor teaches foundational health science ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, lab experience, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the health science curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching specialty didactic and clinical courses. Assessing clinical competencies and theoretical knowledge while supporting comprehensive learning. Provide mentorship to the next generation of PMHNPs.
REQUIREMENTS
Earned PMHNP master's degree or a post-graduate certificate. ANCC board certification as a
PMHNP. A
current, unrestricted
NYS PMHNP
license. Two or more years' experience treating patients as a
PMHNP. A
background in education, whether through formal teaching roles or as a preceptor is preferred, but not required. Earned DNP, PhD, or other terminal degree is preferred, but not required.

SALARY INFORMATION
