At Sumner College, we are deeply committed to providing exceptional education and fostering a supportive, dynamic learning environment. As part of our dedication to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals, we are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. In this vital role, the Clinical Instructor will: Teach and guide students during their clinical rotations and laboratory sessions. Enhance the curriculum design to ensure relevance and excellence in nursing education. Conduct instruction at clinical partner sites in Portland and the surrounding areas, working with groups of up to 8 students. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development in labs. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated educator who remains current with the latest nursing research and incorporates these advancements into student learning experiences. Your contributions will help shape the future of nursing by equipping our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers. Requirements:
Unencumbered Oregon RN license Bachelor's degree in Nursing At least 2 years nursing experience Ability to engage students in active learning and critical thinking Excellent communication skills Background in
Medical Surgical Duties and Responsibilities:
Guide and supervise students in their labs Engages students by creating and maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment Documents student's attendance, participation, and post grade in accordance with college policy Provides timely and constructive feedback Support the delivery of the College mission, vision, program, and course outcomes Participate in curriculum evaluation and planning Meet in-service and professional development requirements Maintain knowledge of and adhere to the Board of Nursing Chapter 851 Division 21 Standards for
