Job Description

Internal Medicine Residency Faculty opportunity with new Residency program in SC! McLeod Health is actively seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician to fill the position of outpatient faculty for our newly created Internal Medicine Program. The program will be welcoming our first class of 13 residents in July 2026. The position includes 0.05 FTE administrative and 0.95 FTE clinical. Clinical time will initially be approximately 50% outpatient internal medicine precepting and 50% private practice. As the program grows, additional precepting will be an option based on interest with a long-term goal of two private practice half-days per week. Faculty will also assist with general IM didactics and weekly ambulatory didactics. Position Requirements Prior educational experience and/or administrative experience preferred but not required. Must hold current Internal Medicine Board Certification by the ABIM or be Board eligible We will consider board-certified FM trained physicians with >3 years of teaching experience Outpatient procedural skill set (shoulder and knee injections, derm procedures, I and D) preferred but not required. Eligible for full licensure to practice medicine in the state of South Carolina. Eligible for unrestricted Active Medical Staff privileges.
