We are seeking our next Adjunct Faculty - Nuclear Medicine Technology who will be all-in on our mission and who provides instruction for courses in the assigned discipline. Teaching responsibilities may include classroom, laboratory, clinical, technology-supported, and/or online instruction, as well as preparation of course materials and maintaining competence in the subject area being taught. Adjunct faculty support student learning by delivering organized and engaging instruction aligned with approved course outlines, accreditation standards, and learning outcomes. The Adjunct Faculty - Nuclear Medicine Technology is responsible for supporting student success through effective instruction in nuclear medicine procedures, patient care, radiation safety, radiopharmaceuticals, imaging techniques, and related clinical competencies. This position is filled on an as need basis, contingent upon institutional needs. Qualifications
EDUCATION
:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology with demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare, Education, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
:
Required:
One (1) year of work experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Preferred:
Previous postsecondary teaching experience.
CERTIFICATIONS
:
Required:
Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear Medicine [ARRT(N)]. Job Duties & Responsibilities Teach assigned course(s) using effective and engaging instructional methods. Prepare and deliver organized instruction in accordance with approved course outlines, accreditation standards, and learning outcomes. Provide instruction in nuclear medicine procedures, radiation safety, patient care, radiopharmaceutical administration, instrumentation, and imaging principles. Supervise and evaluate student performance in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical environments as assigned. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that promote student engagement and learning. Utilize a course syllabus for each course following established institutional guidelines. Evaluate student learning and provide timely feedback regarding academic progress and clinical competency. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, competency evaluations, and academic performance. Ensure instruction and clinical practices align with applicable safety standards, accreditation requirements, and healthcare regulations. Meet with students before or after class, by appointment, or through electronic communication to support student success. Submit required college reports, records, and forms in a timely manner. Participate in meetings, orientations, accreditation activities, and training as required. Support course and curriculum development, review, and assessment activities as appropriate. Perform other work-related duties as required. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time and be able to move materials weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds as needed.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary).
Work Environment:
Instruction may occur in classroom, laboratory, clinical, online, or technology-supported learning environments. The position routinely uses standard classroom and office equipment including computers, audio/visual technology, simulation equipment, instructional software, and clinical healthcare equipment.
