The School of Behavioral Health Sciences at UTHealth Houston invites applications for a full-time Chair (Professor with Tenure) position in the Department of Precision Behavioral Health. We s eek an accomplished scholar with a strong record of NIH-funded research and demonstrated leadership in advancing behavioral health science. The selected candidate must secure at least 50% salary support through grants/contracts. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative research, mentor emerging scientists, and contribute to UTHealth Houston's academic excellence.Key Responsibilities:
Lead a robust, externally funded research program in behavioral health sciences. Maintain active NIH research funding and pursue new grant opportunities. Provide mentorship to junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students. Collaborate across UTHealth Houston and affiliated institutions to foster interdisciplinary research. Contribute to teaching and curriculum development within the School of Behavioral Health Sciences. Engage in service activities that advance the mission of UTHealth Houston.Qualifications:
Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in behavioral health sciences, psychology, psychiatry, public health, or a related field. Distinguished record of scholarship and sustained NIH funding. Evidence of leadership in research and academic program development.Preferred Expertise:
Behavioral health interventions, mental health disparities, addiction science, or related areas. Experience with large-scale, collaborative research initiatives.Compensation and Benefits:
