Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental searchmittee for consideration in case a need arises for the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as needed basis. The Adjunct Faculty in Healthcare Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging instruction in healthcare management courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students. This position requires a knowledgeable professional with expertise in healthcare systems, policy, and management practices. The instructor will develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and foster a collaborativecational environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
Key responsibilities include preparing course materials, conducting lectures and discussions, evaluating student performance, and providing mentorship and guidance to students. Preferred Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning oues identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction. All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and ad to College policies and prores. Faculty are expected to provide instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes and engage in instructional preparation. Provide timely feedback to students and respond to studentmunications in a timely manner. Assessment of student performance; including submission of final grades in a timely fashion. Maintain ethical and professional behavior. Be available to students by appointment. Attend adjunct faculty meetings. Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels. Complete any required training. Other related duties, as assigned.
