Job Summary:

The Department of Radiation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public seeking a radiation oncologist for a clinical health sciences-track (non-tenure) faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level for a clinical practice that will be centered at our main campus. Areas of clinical focus may include palliative radiation medicine (malignant and benign diseases), breast cancer, genitourinary malignancies, and/or tumors of the central nervous system. Protected time and support will be afforded for academic activities that may include clinical and translational research and education/mentorship of residents and students. This position is full or part time, 80

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of residency training in Radiation Oncology and Board certification (or expected within 2 years of hiring).
• MD•Physician•State Licensure Applicants must be able to obtain licensure in Wisconsin without restriction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-residency clinical experience valuable but not mandatory.

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
