Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for supervision and training of Jake's Place residential attendant staff and facilities, including scheduling and supervision of Resident Attendants, facility safety, and procedural oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field preferred OR equivalent years of work experience OR combination of education and work experience. Demonstrates leadership and authority. Demonstrates stability, self-control, and ability to work independently. Knowledge of alcoholism and drug abuse preferred. Ability to work with people from various socio/ethnic/cultural backgrounds. Cultural knowledge of Native Alaskans/American Indians preferred. Must be able to complete requirements to receive Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) designation from the State of Alaska. Valid Alaska Drivers License. Ability to maintain confidentiality is required for this position. Must possess excellent verbal communication. The individual must demonstrate knowledge or ability to learn and apply the principles of Trauma Informed Care, Historical Trauma as it relates to the Alaska Native population, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under supervision of the Prevention and Recovery Director, the incumbent will: Responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of Resident Attendants. Purchase necessary equipment and supplies for the facility and maintain inventories. Provide for maintenance and upkeep of all facility equipment, serve as contact for staff in determining building and facility repairs, and arrange for repairs and general maintenance. Participate in program Performance Improvement efforts, gathering and utilizing client data. Maintain required confidential client records, reports, and data according to standards established by the BBAHC Behavioral Health Program and pertinent funding and regulatory agencies
