Requirements Job Overview The Assistant Director of Student Affairs and Wellbeing, Office of Student Affairs, Medical Center, School of Medicine, Georgetown University, plays a key role in fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging student experience within the medical school. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating student events, enhancing student engagement initiatives, and supporting student wellbeing programs. The Assistant Director actively works with School of Medicine leadership and several functional units at the SOM to ensure timely action in comprehensive support of student engagement, activities, and organizations, compliance, and wellbeing. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, coordinate, and execute SOM events Collaborate with student organizations and student leaders to support programming that enhances engagement and professional development Support the development and implementation of student wellbeing initiatives Advise students on non-academic matters Develop and manage communications related to student events Work Interactions Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the Assistant Director routinely interfaces with School of Medicine leadership, staff across all SOM offices, students, class leadership, and faculty. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, student affairs, or equivalent Demonstrated ability to plan and manage events and student programs Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including high emotional intelligence and ability to navigate conflict General knowledge and understanding of higher education organization, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and interdisciplinary stakeholders Knowledge of student wellbeing issues, particularly within high-intensity academic environments Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities under time constraints Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid. Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $47,586.00 - $87,558.13 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.Current Georgetown Employees:
