Job Summary Focuses on narratives and proactive insights that help drive prioritization and guide decision-making. Assists in development and reporting of assessment findings for ongoing improvement. Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks Assists in the development of assessment reports to facilitate interpretation and analysis of assessment data at the department and college level. This includes Core Curriculum assessment. Creates and disseminates annual assessment reports for the college that contribute to ongoing planning efforts. Assists with academic program external evaluation planning and reporting. Coordinates assessment efforts at the college and department level. Collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure assessment plans and reports are designed, implemented, and analyzed in a manner that fosters student success and continuing improvement. Contributes to annual assessment report review processes including reviewing program or support units, developing summary narratives or reports. This includes Core Curriculum assessment. Produces descriptive-level data needed to advance assessment work at the program and college level. This includes Core Curriculum assessment. Participates in workshops, webinars, and professional development in areas such as
SACSCOC, LEAP, TAIR, ETC.
Provides expertise on types of assessments that are most effective, and guides the designing of instruments such as rubrics, sampling strategies, data analysis, and reporting. Provides training related to assessment topics for faculty and staff within the college. Collaborates and provides consultation for faculty, staff, and administrators to design, implement, and document appropriate and effective assessment plans and activities. Develops assessment strategies to optimize collection and usefulness of assessment results for planning. Establishes, maintains, and refines assessment and effectiveness processes across the college. Designs and develops basic survey reporting solutions that meet the needs for program assessment. Provides Project management support to dean. Collaborates with dean, chairs, and faculty for developing strategic plan goals for the college. Attends regular Assessment Coordinator meetings. Assists in the design and implementation of the QEP assessment plan in collaboration with the QEP committee. Participates in some additional institutional level duties beyond college-level assessments. Required Education/Experience Masters required. Three plus years of direct assessment experience required.
