EducationPOSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Assistant Principal of Academics, the Dean of Academic Systems provides leadership and oversight for the academic systems and initiatives that support teaching and learning at Orange Lutheran High School. This role ensures the effectiveness of the school's academic infrastructure, including the master schedule, course pathways, curriculum guide, academic data analysis, and program development, while supporting strategic innovation in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Working in close partnership with the Academic Deans and collaborating with Admissions and Counseling, this position helps translate the school's academic vision into scalable systems and programs, supports enrollment analysis and course forecasting, and contributes to data initiatives and long-term academic planning as a member of the Academic Leadership Team.Reports To:

NoneESSENTIAL DUTIES
Academic Systems Leadership Lead the design, development, and annual revision of the academic master schedule Collaborate with Academic Deans, Counseling, and school leadership to align scheduling decisions with student needs and academic priorities Oversee the development and maintenance of course pathways to ensure clarity and coherence in student progression through academic programs Coordinate updates and revisions to the Curriculum Guide Manage the University of California course approval process and ensure compliance with UC A-G requirements Support the design and implementation of new academic programs and course offerings Analyze enrollment trends and section demand to inform staffing and scheduling decisions Support the integration of new academic initiatives into existing school structures Oversight of course selections, new courses, and systems consistency in partnership with the registrar Academic Data and Program Evaluation Assist in preparing reports and presentations related to the analysis of student outcome data to identify trends and opportunities for program improvement Assist with course and program analysis, including enrollment patterns and student performance Monitor and analyze Advanced Placement and Honors course participation, performance, and program growth Collaborate with the Assistant Principal of Academics and the Academic Leadership Team to develop data-informed insights that support academic decision-making and efficiencies Support ongoing academic data initiatives connected to accreditation and institutional planning Serves as the primary facilitator of the parent survey implementation and analysis Academic Partnerships and Admissions Collaboration Coordinate freshman placement testing, course-planning events, and challenge testing Coordinate with Admissions for all Freshmen course selections and documentation Analyze placement and enrollment data to support course placement and master schedule planning Collaborate with Admissions and Counseling to support course forecasting and enrollment projections Support enrollment events and strategic planning related to incoming students Assist in evaluating how incoming student preparation and placement trends impact academic programming Identify opportunities for academic collaboration with colleges, universities, or external partners that may enhance student learning opportunities Leadership and Collaboration Serve as an active member of the Academic Leadership Team Participate in Academic Leadership, Department Chair, and administrative meetings Collaborate closely with Academic Deans to support alignment between academic systems and instructional practice Work with school leaders to ensure academic structures reflect the mission and vision of Orange Lutheran High School Represent the academic program in internal and external school settings as needed Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development initiativesADDITIONAL DUTIES

Education Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in the field of study preferred Experience At least seven years of successful teaching experience Experience leading and facilitating faculty settings for individual and larger group learning Experience leading high-performing teams and managing staff, while providing constructive feedback and coaching to team members Any satisfactory combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties listedLICENSES, CERTIFICATES, CLEARANCES
