Full Job Description Summary:
The Program Director of Community Release Program directly manages the Work Release Program in Bridgeport and is responsible for the management of all staffing at that facility. The position will be responsible to ensure that the Work Release Program is coordinated and operated in a manner consistent with Connecticut Renaissance Policies & Procedures and the requirements of the Department of Correction. He/she will report to the Director of Community Release Programs. This position requires interactions with all levels of management and personnel to identify and resolve operational, outcomes and customer satisfaction issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively manage the day to day operations of the Maple Street Bridgeport Work Release Program, including staffing supervision, communications and coordination with the Department of Correction. Provide and document all supervision and oversight to all staff members performing evaluations and intakes, case management duties and direct supervision of clients. Oversee, participate in, and evaluate the results of reviews/audits of clients' charts/records to ensure the quality of the services provided and the adherence to Renaissance's Policies and Procedures and the rules and regulation of funding sources. Coordinate and participate in the hiring, management and evaluation of residential staff members. Schedule and manage all staff positions at the Maple Street Bridgeport facility. Work with the Facilities Director to ensure that the Maple Street Bridgeport facility is in a good state of maintenance and cleanliness at all times and is compliant with all related local and State regulations. Ensure that on-call procedures are in place and functional at all times to respond to emergencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Knowledge of:
Operations of residential Work Release programs. Outcome measures and Quality Improvement processes Electronic Healthcare Record systems Ability to: Supervise staff, including the development of performance evaluations. manage and schedule staff in a residential environment. Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively. Demonstrated ability to work and make decisions independently. Good communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Ability to assimilate new information and technology. Ability to frequently climb stairs. Active Connecticut driver's license.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in the Criminal Justice field
- Proven Supervisory ability
- Experience with Department of Correction programs and clients a plus
- One (1) year experience in related residential programs.
