Location:
NFA Foundation, Inc. The NFA Foundation seeks a dynamic Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Officer to steward meaningful relationships with Norwich Free Academy alumni and inspire the generosity that will fuel our school's next chapter. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who thrives on storytelling, volunteer engagement, and donor cultivation. The Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Officer will play a key role in designing and executing programs that deepen alumni involvement, increase annual fund participation, and foster a culture of giving. This position helps ensure that NFA alumni feel informed, valued, and motivated to stay connected and give back. This is a full-time, 12-month, in-person position. The salary range is $75,000
  • 82,500, based on experience and skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Alumni Engagement Develop, manage, and implement a volunteer and engagement program that supports alumni engagement with Norwich Free Academy. Serve as the primary liaison with alumni volunteers and class reunion planning groups. Provide support for the successful execution of class reunions. Facilitate alumni involvement in student career exploration programs and guest speaking opportunities. Partner with the Executive Director to create a master alumni communications plan, including print, digital, and multimedia. Serve as project manager in the plan's implementation. Write, edit, and design materials. Plan and execute Foundation events. Collaborate with Academy departments for NFA events, including the annual Wildcat Scramble golf tournament, Athletics Hall of Fame, and other alumni-facing events. Manage the Foundation website and social media. Evaluate engagement impact through regular assessment of event attendance, marketing metrics, and participation rates. Other duties and projects may be assigned. Annual Giving Produce Foundation's direct response, digital appeals, giving days, and recurring giving, including writing, editing, and design of all materials. Collaborate with NFA Departments to advise, develop, and design peer-to-peer giving campaigns. Manage an assigned portfolio of donors to retain and upgrade annual giving participation. Track and evaluate annual giving performance through regular assessment of metrics, conversion rates, and participation benchmarks. Other duties and projects may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the Alumni Engagement Assistant and alumni volunteer groups.

Exempt Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of experience in an advancement office or nonprofit organization in annual giving, donor relations, or communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style. Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Experience writing donor-centric appeals, compelling alumni profiles, and social media narratives. Able to manage a busy calendar and multiple projects and deadlines. Proven ability to manage relationships across departments and volunteer groups toward shared goals. Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing engagement programs.
