JOB SUMMARY
The UConn Stamford Campus seeks candidates for the position of Director of Stamford Admissions andRecruitment (Senior Student Services Program Administrator). Reporting to the Campus Dean, the Director of Stamford Admissions andRecruitment provides strategic leadership for undergraduate admissions, recruitment, and enrollment management initiatives for the Stamfordcampus. The Director develops and implements enrollment strategies that support institutional goals, oversees campus-basedadmissions operations, analyzes enrollment trends and market opportunities and cultivates relationships with prospective students, schools,and community stakeholders. Additionally, the Director collaborates closely with the Undergraduate Admissions Office at the Storrs Campusand University partners to enhance recruitment, enrollment, and student success initiatives in accordance with University and departmentalpolicies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership for Stamford Admissions Office operations,including supervising professional staff and student workers, directing the campus visit program, and compiling, analyzing, and reportingadmissions data to support strategic decision-making. Coordinates with Storrs Admissions and campus partners to align recruitment,admissions, and enrollment strategies; supports application review and evaluation in accordance with University policies andstandards. Provides strategic leadership for the development and execution of large-scale campus recruitment events, including OpenHouses, UConn Bound Days, Student Panels, Husky for a Day programs, specialty major programs, and other signature admissionsinitiatives. Develops and implements strategic outreach initiatives with regional high schools and community-based organizations topromote campus visits, increase participation in campus tours and recruitment programs, and cultivate meaningful relationships withprospective students that support informed college choice and enrollment decisions. Conducts in-state and occasional out-of-statetravel for recruitment events and to strengthen partnerships, expand recruitment pipelines, and advance enrollment goals. Overseesrecruitment resource allocation and budget planning to maximize enrollment results and return on investment. Delivers admissionspresentations and information sessions for prospective students, families, guidance counselors, and recruitment groups, includingapplication guidance, campus information, and recruitment materials. Advises applicants on admission requirements, eligibility,program options, and residency; serves as a resource for students, families, and partner institutions by interpreting policies and providingreferrals. Collaborates with ITS, Operations, and the Campus Dean's office to develop online and social media content to driveStamford admissions marketing strategy. Partners with academic and administrative units on campus to develop events and messagingthat highlight Stamford's unique programs, such as Digital Media and Design, Computer Science, School of Business and othermajors. Supports international student enrollment in partnership with Storrs Admissions and the Office for International Student andScholar Services. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of campus housing options and processes and effectively communicatesinformation and resources to prospective students and families. Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATION
Master's degree and at least 4 years of related professional experience in admissions, recruitment, orenrollment management, including experience developing and implementing recruitment strategies OR Bachelor's degree and at least six yearsof related professional experience in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management, including experience developing and implementingrecruitment strategies. Demonstrated experience supervising staff or leading cross-functional teams. Demonstrated attentionto detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Demonstrated ability to deliver effective in‑person and virtual presentations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience utilizing dataanalytics to inform enrollment and recruitment strategies. Experience developing and managing recruitment budgets andresources. Experience building partnerships with secondary schools, community organizations, and educationalstakeholders. Demonstrated success in achieving enrollment growth or recruitment objectives. Proven knowledge of Connecticutand the Northeast student catchment areas, including socio-economic, demographic, and academic trends that influence recruitmentstrategies.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, permanent position at the Stamford campus. Thechosen incumbent must have the ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
