Job Description

Director/Associate Director of Athletics The mission of Marianapolis Preparatory School is to educate students in the Catholic tradition of academic excellence, with a commitment to an active faith in God and a dedication to building character with content, compassion, and integrity. Marianapolis seeks to expand the Athletic Department with an administrative hire effective July 1, 2026. The title will reflect the candidate's level of experience and expertise. The Director/Associate Director of Athletics reports directly to the Head of School and oversees the athletic program, which includes both Marianapolis' competitive athletics and non-competitive extracurricular program.
Administration of Program:
Manage daily operation of the athletic department in support of Marianapolis' mission and vision. Assign and support coaching duties each season Hire and support outside coaches as needed Transportation logistics Work across departments to support the student-athlete experience, including but not limited to college recruitment, signing day, senior days, etc. Supervise and support members of the Athletic Department Assist in the development and implementation of professional development opportunities for all coaches and athletic department members. Survey students each season and use feedback to support the program and professional development. Manage co-curricular sign-ups utilizing Marianapolis' LMS, "Knight's Hub." Evaluate programs and coaches annually Oversee the Athletic Department budget Oversee usage of Marianapolis' athletic facilities Serve as a liaison between the Office of Admission and coaches to support identifying and enrolling mission-appropriate student-athletes Other duties as assigned, such as teaching, advising, residential life, etc. Educate coaches on recruiting and, at times, assist in the recruitment/admission process Work with all departments and offices closely to ensure alignment with the School's messaging throughout the Athletic Department. Be present and attentive at home contests and practices. Represent the School within NEPSAC and other professional organizations, including attending meetings, etc. Assist in the coordination of community events: Opening of School Orientation Parent & Family Weekend Alumni Weekend Signing days
