Job Description

OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Head Athletic Trainer provides strategic leadership and oversight of the University's Athletic Training Department. The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for the administration, supervision, and delivery of comprehensive athletic health care services for all intercollegiate athletic programs. This position oversees the Athletic Training staff and student workers; develops departmental policies, procedures, and budgets; ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) requirements, National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) standards, Board of Certification (BOC) standards of professional practice, and Florida licensure requirements; and collaborates with physicians, coaches, and University leadership to promote the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes.
