This role is vital in developing strategic fundraising initiatives, managing donor databases, and executing targeted campaigns to maximize annual giving. As an integral part of our development team, the Annual Fund Officer will leverage their expertise in relationship management, digital marketing, and event planning to inspire generosity and foster long-term engagement with our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through innovative fundraising strategies and compelling communication. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive annual giving strategies that align with organizational goals, utilizing data collection and analysis to identify opportunities for growth. Manage and optimize donor databases using CRM software Raiser's Edgeto track giving history, segment audiences, and generate reports. Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging fundraising events that attract new donors and deepen existing relationships, including virtual and in-person gatherings. Craft compelling proposals, grant applications, and email marketing campaigns using tools like Constant Contact and Mailchimp to solicit donations and communicate impact effectively. Cultivate relationships with prospective donors through personalized outreach, stewardship activities, and public relations efforts that enhance the organization's visibility. Oversee digital marketing initiatives across social media platforms and WordPress websites to promote fundraising campaigns, increase engagement, and expand outreach. Collaborate with volunteers, university partners, and external stakeholders on estate planning initiatives such as wills, trusts, and estate law considerations to secure major gifts. Requirements Proven experience in fundraising or nonprofit management with a strong understanding of annual giving programs. Excellent event planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in CRM software Raiser's Edge; familiarity with Mailchimp or Constant Contact is highly desirable. Strong written communication skills for proposal writing, grant applications, and digital content creation. Ability to build lasting relationships through effective relationship management techniques and strategic planning. Knowledge of social media management tools like WordPress or other digital marketing platforms to enhance outreach efforts. Experience in research related to donor prospects, estate planning legalities (wills, trusts), and nonprofit marketing strategies.
