Position Overview Cornerstone Learning Community is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support the school's fundraising, donor engagement, and advancement efforts. This part-time role works closely with school leadership to strengthen community partnerships, coordinate development initiatives, and help sustain the school's long-term financial health. The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising campaigns, managing donor communications, organizing events, and maintaining accurate development records. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, relational, and passionate about independent education. Key Responsibilities The following is a subset of responsibilities and is not inclusive of all duties: Support planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and development initiatives Maintain and update donor databases and giving records Assist with grant research, writing support, and submission tracking Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship efforts Help organize fundraising events, community gatherings, and school advancement activities Track fundraising progress and prepare reports for leadership Collaborate with administration on annual giving goals and strategies Develop and distribute development-related communications and newsletters Support community engagement efforts to strengthen donor relationships Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all donor and financial records Assist with marketing and storytelling efforts that highlight school impact
Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, business, education, or related field preferred Experience in development, fundraising, nonprofit work, administration, or related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and basic office systems Experience with donor management systems is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships Passion for education and community-based work
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and move between offices and event spaces as needed Occasional lifting of up to 25-30 lbs for event materials Ability to work occasional evenings for school events or fundraisers Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments during school events Why Join Us?
