Agency Overview:
DISC Village, Inc. is a private non-profit behavioral health organization that has been operating in and throughout the Big Bend area of North Florida for over 50 years. Providing expertise in services in the areas of substance abuse, mental health, and child welfare to adults, adolescents, and families.
Residential Services:
Our 200‑acre residential campus offers a peaceful, rustic environment and houses multiple treatment facilities serving adult males and females, including women with infants. Programs emphasize clinical treatment, relapse prevention, and the development of individualized aftercare plans.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the development, review, and revision of organizational policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain systems that support audit and inspection readiness, ensuring strong program accountability. Participate in federal, state, and county reviews, along with accreditation surveys. Provide effective leadership, direction, and supervision to all administrative, program, and supervisory staff across the residential campus. Oversee and manage referral and intake processes for all residential programs to ensure smooth entry, accurate documentation, and adherence to program protocols. Monitor and manage utilization of residential funding sources, ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory funding requirements. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and external agencies through clear, consistent, and collaborative communication.
Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work preferably in a Social or Behavior Science field with at least 2 years of management experience. Experience working in a residential substance abuse treatment setting. At least 5 years of experience in the chemical dependency and/or mental health field is preferred. Licensed by the State of Florida as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of organizational policy development, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements within behavioral health or residential treatment settings. Effective communication skills to maintain open, professional, and collaborative relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders. Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced residential environment. Ability to lead staff with professionalism, foster team cohesion, and support a positive workplace culture. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
