Job Description
Description •Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative professional and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees and up to one calendar year for part-time employees.

Under general supervision of Leeward CC's Student Life Coordinator, supports Love Pono (violence prevention program) efforts in carrying out work priorities. This includes but is not limited to coordinating and participating in activity planning and implementation; assisting with administrative processes; assisting with communication and marketing; and other such matters related to carrying out the grant's objectives. Create informational podcasts with faculty, staff, and community members relating to topics such as but not limited to: mental health, intimate partner violence, sex assault, healthy relationships, and overall well-being. Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with all members of the Love Pono team, campus colleagues, and external partners. Assists with training the Love Pono student assistants. Coordinate and create training videos for future Love Pono student assistants. Oversees the collection of data and information necessary to assess and measure the effectiveness of projects and goal attainment as needed. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in education, psychology, social work, public health, business, women studies, human development, family studies, public administration or related field and 0 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project support and/or administrative duties. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of violence prevention. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with violence prevention. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations. Proficient with social media. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing. Any combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in higher education. Comfortable using various software technologies, including but not limited to databases and podcast software. Detail oriented with the ability to plan, organize and work on multiple projects and provide support to multiple people simultaneously. Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic and ever-changingenvironment.To Apply :
