This position, based in Moscow, ID and reporting to the College of Natural Resources (CNR) Associate Dean, leads undergraduate recruitment, retention, and engagement for the college. The role oversees scholarships, events, and graduation processes; analyzes enrollment data; develops policies; and collaborates with leadership to improve student success and outcomesPosition Overview:
The Director of Recruitment and Student Success is responsible for the recruitment and retention of undergraduate students in the College of Natural Resources. Specifically, the Director is responsible for recruiting students to college-wide programs; managing the college scholarship award process, graduation and commencement processes; managing college recruitment events; engaging current and future students for the purpose of enhanced educational and professional development opportunities, and serving as a direct point of contact with college administration. Additionally, the Director will develop policies and practices and manage, monitor, forecast and recommend improvements for CNR enrollment and graduation. This position is in charge of gathering, analyzing and reporting data to guide, plan and improve recruitment enrollment and graduation rates while working closely with the Dean and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to determine and implement goals and objectives for the College. The person in this position will stay current on changes that will impact student academic plans, including financial aid, academic standing and graduation. These changes include modifications in academic degree program requirements, changes in academic policy related to student academic requirements and federal policies related to financial aid. The Director can represent the college in academic matters in the absence of the Dean or Associate Dean. They will develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with other CNR personnel, faculty and advisers and will communicate clearly and effectively on academic advising, policy change, and student support needs within the college. The Director may also be asked to provide other student academic support for the College of Natural Resources.Required Experience:
Two years of experience in student recruitment, admissions or related student success initiatives Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, email and data organization Experience using Excel or other database systems for compiling, analyzing and summarizing data for decision making Experience working in a high-pressure environment while meeting multiple competing deadlines Experience working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals Experience with public speaking Communicating professionally with individuals in person, by phone, in virtual meetings, via email and via texts Working independently with little oversight to accomplish tasks Experience using PowerPointRequired Education:

Masters Degree Experience in undergraduate recruitment Experience in academic advising or counseling students Experience in situations requiring creative and analytical thinking Knowledge of academic rules and regulations for undergraduate level advising Knowledge of Slate Experience in researching, interpreting and applying university policies and procedures, demonstrating a considerable knowledge of academic issues, financial aid regulations and graduation requirements Experience with budget tracking Experience or training in environmental or natural resource sciencePhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:
