Normal, IL Job Summary The STEM Education Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of student success, undergraduate research, and civic engagement within the Science IS-U Scholars Program. This position requires the use of innovative STEM educational strategies, multiple technical skills, skills in mentoring young people in pursuing STEM careers and interests, and a strong commitment to providing equitable, inclusive access to high quality STEM learning experiences to a diverse student body. This position involves coordinating a scholars program of 40 undergraduate students; coordinating professional development for STEM faculty; mentoring a diverse group of students; and delivering high quality STEM instruction. Salary Rate / Pay Rate $61,800 Required Qualifications 1. Graduate degree (master's or doctoral) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or Education discipline; ABD will be considered. 2. Experience managing STEM education projects 3. Post-secondary teaching experience in a STEM subject Work Hours Regular attendance during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday) is expected and required.
