Job Description

The Hanover College Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) invites applications for an innovative and student-centered leader to serveas Director of Student Affairs and Admissions. This 12-month core faculty position with administrative responsibilities offers an excitingopportunity to shape the student experience from recruitment through graduation within a program that combines the flexibility of onlinelearning with the hands-on engagement of immersive laboratory education. The Director of Student Affairs and Admissions serves as akey member of the DPT leadership team and provides strategic oversight of student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, advising,progression, retention, and student success initiatives. The successful candidate will foster a culture of belonging, accountability,professional growth, and academic excellence while ensuring students receive the support needed to thrive in a rigorous healthcare educationenvironment. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, institutional partners, and students, this leader will champion adata-informed approach to student success, continuous improvement, and accreditation compliance. The Director will play a critical role indeveloping future physical therapists who embody Hanover College's commitment to lifelong learning, service, leadership, and professionalexcellence. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for student recruitment, admissions,enrollment management, advising, progression, retention, and student success initiatives. Lead recruitment efforts designed toattract highly qualified applicants and achieve program enrollment goals. Oversee admissions processes, including applicantreview, interview coordination, selection decisions, enrollment yield, and matriculation activities. Develop and implementcomprehensive student success strategies that support academic achievement, professional formation, resilience, well-being, and readinessfor clinical education and licensure. Coordinate advising, mentoring, coaching, and student support systems to promote learnersuccess across the curriculum. Monitor student progression, retention, graduation, and licensure-readiness indicators and developintervention strategies for students requiring additional support. Serve as liaison with Hanover College Admissions, StudentServices, and other institutional support offices. Lead student orientation, onboarding, leadership development, recognitionprograms, and graduation activities. Utilize recruitment, admissions, progression, retention, and student outcomes data to guidecontinuous quality improvement efforts. Chair the Admissions Committee and Administration Committee and engage faculty in studentsuccess initiatives and policy development. Provide leadership for admissions, student affairs, and student outcomes components ofthe Program Assessment Plan and CAPTE Self-Study process. Ensure all policies, procedures, and practices related to admissions andstudent affairs remain compliant with CAPTE accreditation standards and Hanover College policies. Teach within the DPT curriculumas assigned and contribute to the academic mission of the program. Travel to onsite laboratory immersions to support students,faculty, and program initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Earned terminal academic doctoratein a discipline appropriate for the position, OR a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT or tDPT) with qualifications consistent withfaculty appointment. Experience in higher education with demonstrated success in student affairs, admissions, advising, studentsuccess, enrollment management, or related leadership roles. Knowledge of accreditation standards, assessment processes, andstudent support systems within higher education. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement evidence-informed strategiesto improve student outcomes. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, administrators, staff, andexternal stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Licensed or eligible for physical therapist licensure in Indiana. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program. Experience with student retention initiatives, academic coaching, advising systems, and learner support programs. Experience withadmissions processes, enrollment management, and recruitment strategy. Experience working within hybrid, online, or innovativeeducational models.
