The District Athletics Senior Manager, under directive of the District Athletics Director, will manage day-to-day athletics matters throughout IPS, while assisting with the implementation of programming, student-athlete performance assessments, and serve in a supervisory capacity to school level athletic coordinators.WHAT YOU'LL DO
The following outlines what your core duties and responsibilities will be for this position and provides a sample overview of what your day-to-day may look like. Core Duties and Responsibilities Directly supervise the District Athletics K-8 Coordinator to ensure they are properly developing and facilitating youth level programs and provide support where needed. Assist Director with strategy and policy implementation. Assist with evaluation of athletic directors, attending various school athletic events (practices, games, meetings, etc.) to provide proper assessment. Assist with review of high school athletics budgets and account audits. Assist Director with development of capital projects, representing Athletics in meetings as needed. Serve as primary facilities coordinator, helping coordinate between Athletics and FMD for maintenance, repairs, etc. Communicate between IPS departments (facilities, transportation, school police, innovation, human resources, etc.) and relay messaging between athletics personnel, helping to resolve issues that may arise. Develop district-managed high school sports showcases. Develop and manage other athletics community and school based projects and programs. Assist in the communication with external partners. Monitor Title IX compliance related matters. Assist Director with producing data reports on student athletes. Develop and manage professional development opportunities for athletics personnel. Manage inventory of district athletics equipment and coordinate with vendors. Other duties as assigned by District Director of Athletics. "Day In the Life" Overview On a regular day, as the Athletic Director, you might: Confirm all officials for home contests and buses for road contests that day/week. Manage study tables, having conversations with student athletes about their class work and connecting them with the proper tutors and/or resources. Submit team rosters into the IHSAA portal and to the district athletic department. Cover lunch duty and chat with prospective students about the benefits of participating on a sports team and representing their school. Sending out congratulatory and gameday posts on social media to recognize your excelling student athletes and promote your upcoming contests. Set up before a home game and tear down afterwards.WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- Experience with accounting, purchasing protocols, and/or fund raising is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in related field or two-year college or technical school degree, plus five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal customer/guest services experience. Experience using current Microsoft Office software to create documents that relay information using language and key data points. Experience creating and disseminating mass communications. Video production experience is a plus.WORK LOCATION & HOURS
This main position for this office is located at 1115 Broad Ripple Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220. This position is full-time and will require flexible works hours Monday through Saturday, as it requires a significant amount of time spent at evening sporting events.
