Posting Information Butler Community College is an equal opportunity employer Posting Information Position Title Director of Faculty Development Job Duties Butler Community College is seeking a Director of Faculty Development for its campus community. The Director will administer Butler professional development activities for the college faculty (full and part time), and maintain collaborative relationships with the Faculty Development and Support Board of Oversight, EVPAA, Executive Deans, Division Deans, and faculty toward the enhancement of teaching and learning across the institution, at all locations, and through all delivery modes. The Director is responsible for coordinating training and support for faculty in higher education trends, teaching methodologies, and instructional technologies applicable to teaching and learning in the 21st century. Function with a high level of independence and limited supervision. B. Perform with a high degree of interpersonal skills. C. Exhibit excellence in both written and oral communication skills. D. Maintain continuous development in emerging trends in higher education generally and teaching/learning specifically, including external requirements (such as the Department of Education, Higher Learning Commission, Kansas Board of Regents, etc…). E. Maintain currency in computer and presentation skills. F. Function with above average organizational and time management skills. G. Demonstrate multimedia literacy, including the Internet. H. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs. Required experience A. Must have higher education teaching experience. B. Demonstrated successful experience as a team player. Required educational background Master's degree required.
