Job Description
Title:
Student Minister Reports to:Children's Minister, Next Gen Lead Who We Are:
Lakeside Christian Church is a nearly 60-year-old community of believers with rich ties to the Northern Kentucky region. We are a multi-generational congregation that places a high emphasis on belonging in community and growing in our faith so as to have a tangible impact on the world around us.What We Need You To Do:
- Entrusted with overseeing our Student Ministry.
- Plan, oversee, and direct two different experiences each week. One for Middle School students, one for High School students.
- Recruit, Shepherd, Lead, Disciple, and Coach volunteers.
- Develop and disciple student leaders and provide them with servant leadership opportunities.
- Coordinate special events.
- Partners with parents.
- Oversee student environments, new student processes, and safety policies and procedures for all weekly and special events.
- Strategically plan with the Children's Team/Next Gen Lead.

- Someone with a heart for the local church.
- Someone who is passionate for the next generation.
- Connected to our people, helping them belong and grow within our church.
- An ordained minister or willing to become ordained.
- Humble, adaptive, and willing to learn.
- Able to speak and teach well.
- Skilled at giving and receiving honest/healthy feedback.
- Willing to demonstrate our Five Staff Commitments (Take It Personally, Make It Better Together, Empower Others, Chase Health, Remain Openhanded).
- A member, or willing to become an active member of Lakeside Christian Church, who supports our Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Strategies.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a pastoral field (or comparable experience in that field).
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Experience leading students
- Systems thinking (registration, follow-up, communication flows)
- Budget Management
- Experience recruiting, overseeing, and managing volunteers
- Strong Organizational and communication skills
