With a mission to inspire and equip leaders to be better and do better, we have empowered over 12,000 graduates through our civic programs since 1979. Through our programs, we connect leaders across sectors, deepen understanding of critical community issues, and create opportunities for meaningful civic engagement. As our alumni network has grown, so has the opportunity to deepen how alumni stay connected, involved, and invested in the Center's mission. We are seeking an Alumni Engagement Manager to build and execute a modern alumni activation strategy in partnership with the Director of Philanthropy, strengthening connection, participation, and long-term support across the network. This is a foundational, relationship-centered role at the intersection of engagement, storytelling, and community building, involving alumni of the Leadership Louisville, Bingham Fellows, Ignite Louisville, Alice Houston Women's Leadership Program, and Focus Louisville programs. The position is full-time, exempt, in-person, and reports to the Director of Philanthropy. What You'll Own Network Strategy Develop and implement the Center's alumni engagement strategy in partnership with the Director of Philanthropy to elevate connection, participation, and peer-driven involvement across the network Segment and re-engage alumni through targeted, relationship-based outreach that deepens involvement over time Serve as a visible ambassador for the Center by facilitating alumni networking opportunities, representing the organization at programs and events, and occasionally presenting to alumni, current cohorts, and community stakeholders Design scalable pathways for alumni participation in programs, events, and leadership opportunities, including ambassador programs, peer referrals, and alumni nominations Create a year-round engagement model that strengthens both alumni connection to the Center and relationships among alumni Activation & Philanthropic Alignment Support and drive alumni activation that leads to deeper involvement, including in philanthropy, volunteering, Center councils, and advocacy for the Center's mission Partner with the Director of Philanthropy on alumni-focused giving efforts, ensuring engagement is the foundation for all fundraising outreach Lead recruitment and engagement for alumni councils (Encore and Elevate) in partnership with the Director of Philanthropy, building representative, highly engaged cohorts that strengthen the broader network Track participation, engagement, and conversion trends across alumni programs and campaigns, including the 50th anniversary and other key initiatives Strengthen storytelling and recognition so alumni clearly see their impact and opportunities for continued involvement Innovation & Growth Build and evolve the emerging SuperFan program as an engagement layer that increases participation, visibility, and friendly competition across the alumni network Test creative approaches to increasing alumni participation and momentum through recognition, gamification, and incentives Continuously refine engagement strategies based on participation patterns, feedback, and engagement data Success in this role is measured by increased active alumni participation, stronger peer-to-peer engagement, and greater alumni-driven involvement and support of Center programs. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is relationship-driven, highly organized, and energized by building community at scale. The ideal candidate can move fluidly between strategy, storytelling, and execution. Experience 3-6+ years of experience in alumni engagement, nonprofit development, donor relations, community engagement, or a related field Bachelor's degree required Demonstrated success building relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers, or community stakeholders, including exposure to fundraising or donor engagement work Experience designing or managing engagement initiatives, events, communications, or community-building programs Core Capabilities Relationship Building

Practical Details Salary Range:
$60,000

Schedule:
Primarily in-office, with potential for hybrid flexibility after 6-month onboarding period. Includes some early mornings and evenings
