Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities The Coordinator of Greek Life and Student Leadership Programs works to provide leadership and assistance in all areas concerning Greek life and leadership programs. The Coordinator assists affiliated member organizations with planning and implementation of programs/services designed to enhance life at Murray State University.
Serve as primary advisor to the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council.
Serve as advisor to Order of Omega Greek Honorary.
Meet regularly with chapter presidents and other officers, chapter advisors, and headquarters representatives.
Conduct enforcement and education of University policies and guidelines, as well as municipal, state and federal laws to constituent groups.
Coordinate fall sorority and fraternity recruitment, as well as new member education programming following conclusion of recruitment and educational retreats for Greek Organization.
Produce, collect, and maintain accurate membership records, recruitment statistics, and scholarship reports.
Develop and maintain programs and efforts to support scholastic excellence within Murray State University Greek community, to include maintaining productive and meaningful relationships with Murray State University faculty/staff.
Provide oversight and direction of all expansion efforts within the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc
Design and develop brochures, articles, advertisement, etc., to enhance fraternity/sorority life on campus.
Provide Leadership training for student organizations and advisors.
Coordinate the Emerging Leaders Program, "Leadership on the Road."
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements One years of professional experience in student organizational advising, program/event, and fraternity/sorority life or two years direct graduate assistance experience.
Willingness to work in a team and collaborative environment required.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Must possess strong computer competence, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet applications, email, and electronic presentations.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications Master's Degree in College Student Personnel or related field preferred.
