OVERVIEW
The Education and Employment Coordinator is responsible for: Developing, coordinating, and implementing education, workforce development, and employment readiness services for women participating in St. Mary's programs. Supporting participants in achieving educational, vocational, and career goals through individualized planning, resource connection, and ongoing case management. Building and maintaining partnerships with employers, educational institutions, workforce agencies, and community organizations to expand opportunities for participants. These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and may be adjusted as necessary.
EDUCATION & CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Conduct assessments to identify participants' educational, employment, and career goals. Develop individualized education and employment plans with measurable outcomes. Provide guidance on GED preparation, vocational training, certification programs, college enrollment, and continuing education opportunities. Facilitate workshops related to job readiness, workplace skills, financial literacy, and career exploration.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Assist participants with resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and application completion. Coordinate job placement activities and maintain relationships with employers seeking qualified candidates. Support participants in securing and maintaining employment through follow-up services and coaching. Monitor participant progress toward employment goals and document outcomes.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS & RESOURCE COORDINATION
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with educational institutions, workforce development agencies, and community partners. Coordinate referrals to external education, training, and employment resources. Represent the organization at workforce development meetings, community events, and networking opportunities. Identify new opportunities to expand participant access to education and employment services.
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING
Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, and program documentation. Track program outcomes, attendance, and performance measures. Prepare reports and data required by funders, leadership, and regulatory agencies. Assist in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement efforts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Academic Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Workforce Development, Counseling, or related field. 3+ years of experience in workforce development, education services, career counseling, case management, or related field. Experience working with women, families, and underserved populations preferred.
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of workforce development systems, educational pathways, and employment resources. Strong case management, coaching, and relationship-building skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Ability to facilitate workshops and presentations for diverse audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management databases. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Commitment to cultural humility, trauma-informed practices, and participant-centered service delivery.

Job is regularly performed sitting at a desk for extended periods. Frequent use of hands for typing and handling documents. Regular travel within the community to partner agencies, educational institutions, employment sites, and events may be required.
Pay:
From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
