Job Description
Reports to: VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing Position Summary The Slate Enrollment Communications Administrator is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications for undergraduate and graduate admissions and supporting the effective use and continued development of the College's Slate CRM instance. This position combines strong writing and communication strategy with advanced Slate knowledge to create timely, accurate, personalized, and engaging communications throughout the student recruitment and enrollment journey. The Administrator serves as the primary writer for first-year, transfer, continuing education, and graduate admissions communications and works closely with enrollment, marketing, and other campus partners to ensure messaging is audience-focused, consistent with the College's brand, and aligned with institutional enrollment goals. The position also oversees the development and maintenance of Slate communications, portals, forms, events, workflows, and other recruitment-related functionality. Essential Responsibilities Develop, write, edit, and execute communications for prospective students, applicants, admitted students, deposited students, families, school counselors, and other enrollment audiences. Serve as the primary writer for undergraduate and graduate admissions communications, including email campaigns, text messages, letters, application and enrollment instructions, event communications, and other recruitment materials. Create communication plans that support students throughout the enrollment funnel, from inquiry through enrollment. Adapt messaging appropriately for undergraduate, graduate, transfer, continuing education, international, and other priority populations. Ensure communications are clear, engaging, accurate, student-centered, and consistent with the College's brand, voice, and enrollment priorities. Partner with Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing and Communications, and other campus offices to gather information and coordinate messaging. Maintain an enrollment communications calendar and manage communication timelines, approvals, testing, and deployment. Review existing communications regularly and recommend improvements based on enrollment priorities, student needs, engagement data, and industry best practices. Support the development of segmented and personalized communication strategies for different student populations and stages of the enrollment process. Proofread and quality-check communications for content, grammar, formatting, links, personalization, audience criteria, and accuracy prior to deployment. Monitor communication performance and use engagement and conversion data to improve future outreach. Support the administration, optimization, and continued development of Slate for undergraduate and graduate enrollment. Build, manage, and maintain Slate Deliver campaigns, including recipient populations, segmentation, personalization, liquid markup, templates, scheduling, and testing. Develop and maintain Slate portals. Create and update portal content, displays, interactions, checklists, status information, and personalized student experiences. Build and maintain Slate forms, events, registrations, landing pages, queries, reports, filters, rules, and automated workflows. Support application configuration, applicant status communications, decision release processes, enrollment checklists, and other admission-related functions. Assist with reporting and analysis related to communication engagement, recruitment activity, funnel progression, and enrollment outcomes. Ensure that Slate communications and processes comply with institutional policies and applicable privacy and accessibility standards. Participate in enrollment planning meetings and contribute to recruitment, communication, and yield strategies. Assist with major enrollment initiatives, recruitment events, and special projects. Collaborate with campus partners to support coordinated and consistent communications to prospective and incoming students. Stay current on enrollment communication trends, Slate best practices, and emerging technologies. Perform other duties as assigned, which may include evening or weekend events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Three or more years of experience in enrollment communications, admissions operations, CRM administration, or a related are preferred. Demonstrated professional experience using Slate CRM. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with varied audiences. Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough testing and quality assurance. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments. Experience handling confidential information with discretion and sound judgment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with both technical and nontechnical colleagues.
